UPDATES!

WOW! It's been WAY too long! And SO MUCH has happened since April! So, I'll go ahead and post without pictures, which I hate doing, but it seems that's the fastest way I can update at this point.

Let's see . . .

MAY
*Wes & Gracie finished school. I cried a lot. I'll miss Mrs. Frederick who taught Wes, knowing no more of my children will have a chance to have her. (Since I don't have anymore and am NOT planning on it!) I hated to see Gracie finish Kindergarten because I know the rest of her school years will FLY by. ;,( She learned SO MUCH under Mrs. Spath and really had a great year. I am SO THANKFUL for all the new people I met - through Dove, through Mom's in Touch, through being room mom at CLC . . . what a terrific blessing!

JUNE
*The question is really what DIDN'T happen!
*Last week of school for Gracie. . .
*Huge storm we got caught in while getting in the car to go to Wed. church. Literally think we were right under a rotating cloud - the proof was in the swirling tree tops and the aftermath (I'll post pics later). Massive tree limbs down on all 4 sides including one on our roof that damaged it enough it create inside water damage. So thankful and humbled by the help we received the next day from friends and family.
*VBS - had a blast teaching music with our pastor's wife. She's a blast and the kids did fantastic on the last day's program!
*We had to say good-bye to our sweet dog, Hoyt. He was our family's first dog, a boxer, who apparently had heart failure. It happened so quick, in a matter of days. We prepared the kids pretty well because Greg and I were the ones balling while going to and from the vet. We miss him very much.
*Lastly, the kids went to my parent's for a week while Greg and I had a week-long 12th anniversary celebration! We started off at the Gaylord on the actual day, being moved up to a suite by a sweet friend who works there! Then we had dinner at Texas de Brazil, then a couple more days of eating out and going to movies. It was a nice change from the previous 3 weeks! Relaxing!

*We also decided to re-start my photography business full-on with Greg by my side, making IT his 2nd job. The Lord has caused some things to work together that makes us feel this is the way to go, so pray for us and call us for a session!

*We ended the month with a trip to Six Flags on an overcast Monday that ended up being almost perfect - not too hot (compared to the 100+ of recent days), short/no lines, and Mop there too!

And that brings us to now . . . the 3rd of July. Summer always ends up flying by after the 4th, but we still have lots of weeks and hopefully a family vacation in the future. I hope to add pictures of the above soon.
